The Rose Seal
Sometimes, you need to innovate to stay true to yourself
For more than 45 years, our goal has been to make packaging capable of best preserving food for longer and in a natural way – with the lowest possible impact on the environment.
Since Esseoquattro’s origins, we’ve decided to stay faithful to these sticking points over time, making choices that marked our path and keep on guiding us towards the future.
You can find our Rose on all our packaging, because it represents our promise to ensure quality, safety, technical performances and sustainability.
Quality and safety
In general, you must use non-recycled paper with certain characteristics (virgin pulp > 75 % and filler < 10 %), whereas for dried fruits, which are not subject to migration testing, the use of recovered fibres is permitted – and it’s sufficient that the total fibre content is above 60 %, while fillers can be up to 25 %. The use of recyclable fibre must comply with strict purity requirements laid down in the Ministerial Decree 21/03/10973.
All Rose packaging is certified for direct contact with food.
This means they’re manufactured in full compliance with current European regulations, which require that packaging doesn’t transfer any component to food in such a quantity that would result in an unacceptable food change, deteriorating its organoleptic characteristics (appearance, colour, aroma, taste, texture) or being a threat to human health.
Our Quality Department has developed a real time traceability system enabling us to trace back the history of each single packaging at any time – from the raw materials used, through every manufacturing process step to its date of delivery.
We’ve been working closely with our strategic partners to transform our entire product range, making it utterly PFAS-free by 2025 in order protect consumer health and in line with our commitment to sustainability and safety.
Technical performances
The Food Quality and Safety Group at the University of Camerino has conducted shelf-life tests on our packaging, proving its high food-preserving features.
Moreover, our R&D Department cooperates with universities and research organisations on a daily basis in order to develop new increasingly innovative and sustainable packaging.
Uniqueness
Compliance with regulations
Continuity and reliability
Environmental liability
Our packaging is designed to reduce the impact on the environment throughout their life-cycle as much as possible.
Each packaging is available with either PEFC (PEFC/18-31-452) or FSC® (FSC-C113392) certification and includes detailed information on how to properly dispose it into the recycling bins.
Social responsibility
We believe that every company is responsible for supporting the area in which it is active to make it grow and flourish.
That’s why we allocate part of our yearly budget for local activities and initiatives enabling to create human well-being.
Moreover, we choose to reach out to several institutions and associations working – both at national and international level – in the social environment to protect women and support childhood.
